Fall Colloquium

Happy Hour

The Fall Colloquium is a yearly event sponsored by the Plant Biology Graduate Student Association in which graduate students at all levels of study (master's students, Ph.D students, old and new students) have an opportunity to present their research proposals or results to their peers and faculty in a semi-formal atmosphere. It also gives everyone a chance to become acquainted with the research projects being worked on by members of the Plant Biology Graduate Group. A speaker is nominated and elected by the graduate students to come and give the keynote address.

Once a month, Happy Hour is held in the late afternoon in the basement of Life Sciences Addition (or the courtyard when the weather is nice). This is a nice opportunity for graduate students to gather with old friends as well as mingle with graduate students that they have only met in passing. Snacks and beverages are provided both through Plant Biology Graduate Student Association funds as well as student donations. This casual setting provides a great way to end the week. Come by and hang out!
