I am interested in the circadian regulation of plant growth and development. Circadian clock regulates many developmental processes in plants and animals. In any environment, integration of developmental processes with the correct environmental cues is essential to be successful especially in sessile organisms like plants. I am currently functionally characterizing the xap5 circadian time keeper (XCT) protein which has both circadian and developmental phenotypes in the mutant.
