How to apply
All applicants for admission to graduate study in Exercise Science must first meet the standards of Graduate Studies http://gradstudies.ucdavis.edu/ of the University of California.
Admission to graduate standing normally requires a minimum GPA of 3.25 (out of 4.00) and a minimum quantitative score on the Graduate Record Examination of 600. The combined verbal and quantitative score should be at least 1100. However, admissions decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
Applications are accepted for Fall quarter admission only. Applications must be submitted by January 15.
- Please use the following link to access the Exercise Science application: http://apply.embark.com/grad/ucdavis.
- The application fee is $70 for the domestic application and $90 for the international. The fee may be paid by credit card or e-check. The fee must be paid before the application will be considered complete, and the fee must be paid for each application submitted.
- Letters of Recommendation must be submitted electronically through the online application. Do not have recommenders send letters in hard copy as they will not be reviewed.
- Please wait to submit your transcripts until after you have marked your applications complete and submitted them. This allows for more efficient and effective matching of transcripts to applicants.
- Submit only one transcript for each university or college you have attended. That transcript will be made available to faculty in each graduate program to which the applicant has applied, as well as for the review of the fellowship application.
- Have your transcripts sent directly to the graduate program you have selected to apply to; in the case of multiple applications, applicants should send only one transcript to their first choice of graduate programs or to the first completed graduate program application.
- You may upload required curriculum vitae, resume and/or writing sample via the online application web site.
- Please use these codes for reporting electronic scores from the Graduate Record Examination General Test. Institution Code: 4834 and Department code: 0699.
- TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for international students. Institution code: 4834 and Department code: 49.
