How to Apply
All applicants for admission to graduate study in Animal Behavior must first meet the standards of Graduate Studies http://gradstudies.ucdavis.edu/ of the University of California.
Applications are accepted for fall quarter admission only, and should be made as early as possible. Applications must be submitted by December 15th. Fellowship applications must be submitted by December 15th (new, earlier date!). All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a fellowship application with their application for admission.
- Please use the following link to access the Animal Behavior application: http://apply.embark.com/grad/ucdavis.
- The application fee is $70 for the domestic application and $90 for the international. The fee may be paid by credit card or e-check. The fee must be paid before the application will be considered as complete, and the fee must be paid for each application submitted.
- Letters of Recommendation must be submitted electronically through the online application. Hard copy letters will not be reviewed. NOTE: Since many potential letter-writers leave town over the holidays, be sure to ask for letters of recommendation well in advance of the December 15 deadline.
- Please wait to submit your transcripts only after you have marked your application complete and submitted it. This allows for more efficient and effective matching of transcripts to application. Submit only one transcript for each university or college you have attended. That transcript will be made available to faculty in each graduate program to which you have applied, as well as for the review of the fellowship application. Have your transcripts sent directly to the graduate program you have selected (please specify “Animal Behavior Graduate Group” at the address at left and at bottom); in the case of multiple applications, applicants should send only one transcript to their first choice of graduate programs or to the first completed graduate program application.
- Please use these codes for reporting electronic scores from the Graduate Record Examination General Test. Institution Code: 4834 and Department code: 2010.
- TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for international students. Institution code: 4834 and Department code: 58.”
You cannot be accepted for admission until all of the above components are received. Inquiries concerning application procedures or any other aspects of the program should be directed to the Animal Behavior Graduate Group Coordinator:
